The Department deals with pieces by the great masters of twentieth-century design. Giò Ponti, the Castiglioni Brothers, Charles and Ray Eames, Hans Wegner, Marcel Breuer, and Jean Prouvè are just the first names in a very long list that recounts the historical evolution of industrial design in the 20th century.
